The Proposed Loop 1604 at SH 151 Underpass

The Texas Department of Transportation is currently proposing to construct an underpass at Loop 1604 and State Highway 151, to link the main lanes of SH 151 to Alamo Ranch Parkway - providing improvements to the safety and ease of access for drivers in this area to utilize both Loop 1604 and SH 151.

The Alamo RMA, thanks to funding from Bexar County via the Advanced Transportation District, is conducting the environmental clearance for this proposed improvement.

On November 18, 2010, the Alamo RMA held an Open House / Public Meeting on the proposed underpass project.

The purpose of the Open House/Public Meeting is to discuss the environmental study currently being conducted on Loop 1604 to construct an underpass for the mainlanes of SH 151 and connecting SH 151 into the existing Alamo Ranch Parkway, and to provide additional information on the proposed design of the Loop 1604 Underpass Project.

All interested citizens are invited to attend the Open House/Public Meeting and provide verbal or written comments on the proposed project. Citizens will also be afforded an opportunity to view project exhibits. Project staff will be available to answer questions about the proposed project. A court reporter will be available to take verbal comments during the Open House/Public Meeting.

All comments must be postmarked or received by 5 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010, to be included in the public record. All materials from the Open House/Public Meeting, including the presentation, will be made available on www.AlamoRMA.org on Friday, November 19, 2010 by 11 a.m.

Persons interested in attending this Open House/Public Meeting who have special communication or accommodation needs should contact Leroy Alloway at (210) 495-5256, at least two (2) working days prior to the meeting so that appropriate arrangements can be made. Because the Open House/Public Meeting will be conducted in English, any request for language interpreters or other special communication needs should also be made at least two (2) working days prior to the meeting. Every reasonable effort to accommodate these needs will be made.
